Blue or pink, what do you think?
Its a GIRL!!!
(Sorry to everyone I have been fooling! I had to keep this a secret for weeks especially for this reveal!)
We found out the gender just after 10 weeks as we did the NIPT test (which is DNA prenatal screening for chromosomal issues, as well as gender), and when I got the call with the results I was shocked!! I really thought it was a boy again!
Kane had wanted a girl so badly this time, and I was hoping that it would happen so he would get his wish, and then he can stop dreaming about shopping in the girls section at the baby stores and actually go & do it!
Once I found out, I had to throw him off this massive surprise (because Kane is really good at getting me to spill secrets, like he literally can tell when I’m telling fibs or hiding something from him haha) so I kept saying ‘don’t be too disappointed if its not a girl…’ I let him stew all day until I called him on the way home from work where I told him the good news. He was as shocked as I was! But extremely happy that he gets his little princess.
Our morphology scan was great, her growth is right on schedule and she seems to be a bit of a gymnast and likes curling up into a ball. Unfortunately, the room I was scanned in didn’t have the facilities for 3D images, so that was really disappointing. Plus they were over 30 minutes late getting us into our appointment. Argh!
Now that I’m getting further and further into my pregnancy, I’m getting more excited. There really isn’t long to go and we have a stack of things to sort out before her arrival!
